Bratwurst bars, burger buffets, ribeye stations. We cater on-site at venues across Wisconsin, send the truck where it makes sense, and host smaller events upstairs.
A Wisconsin wedding is its own thing. The dinner that fits it isn’t a hotel banquet plate — it’s the food guests actually finish. Brats off the grill, burgers cooked hot, sides that aren’t decorative. The kind of dinner couples remember because their friends ate it instead of pushing it around.
State Street Brats caters weddings three ways: a buffet at the venue, the Bratmobile parked on-site, or the upstairs at the restaurant for the rehearsal dinner. Sometimes all three across one weekend.

From real weddings
State Street Brats catered my wedding and it was amazing! Everyone absolutely loved it. Thank you for everything!
For our wedding, we did not want to go the traditional dry chicken route for our dinner. We stumbled across State Street Brats while searching the internet. It honestly could not have gone smoother on the day of our wedding. Everyone loved the tailgate feel of our dinner. The food was AMAZING. We are still getting compliments on how good dinner was over a week later. If you are like us and in search of something different for your wedding dinner, State Street Brats would be an awesome choice.
My grandparents, parents, and I have enjoyed these brats for years since growing up. The best man didn't even like brats, and he said it was one of the best things he had ever eaten.
Common questions
Travel range, headcount tiers, tastings, bar service, deposits.
Yes. Tastings happen at the restaurant in downtown Madison — we’ll set a time once your inquiry comes in.
A customizable menu — appetizers, mains, sides, desserts — plus setup, serving staff, and cleanup. Brats are usually on the menu somewhere. Final shape gets locked at the tasting.
If your venue has catering rules, send them over. We’ll figure it out.
We’ve cooked weddings all over Wisconsin and into the surrounding states. If your venue is on a map, we’ll figure out how to get the brats there. Tell us where in the inquiry and we’ll quote travel as part of the package.
Yes. The Bratmobile does plenty of rehearsal dinners — backyard, brewery, park. Mention it in the wedding inquiry and we’ll quote both the wedding day and the rehearsal together.
Wedding inquiry
Wedding date, venue (or "still looking"), guest count range, and which service mode you're picturing. Tastings happen at the restaurant once a date is on the calendar. We reply within two business days. Booking windows tend to run six to twelve months out — earlier is easier.
