Dinner after UW Madison graduation
State Street Brats is a half-mile from the Kohl Center, with brats, beer, and room for the whole family. We've watched students graduate for decades, and graduation weekend is one of the busiest of the year. Closer to the date, upstairs access passes go on sale for the graduating class and their crews.

Late-morning on, the dining room fills
Families fill the dining room from late morning. The kitchen runs the full menu both days, and the patio is open if the weather plays along.
Upstairs after the ceremony
Graduates and their friends head upstairs once the ceremony lets out. That's when our upstairs access passes — when they're sold — pay off.
First floor is walk-in
Reservations aren't taken on the first floor. If you're organizing a group of more than eight, call ahead so the host stand knows you're coming.
